Improving the Use of White Lupine in the Laying Quail Feeding by Enzymes Addition: Effects on Productive Performances, Digestion, Blood Biochemical Indices and Eggs Quality

Lupine seeds are a valuable nutritive source for animal feeding, but poultry nutrition, the content in crude fiber and non-starch polysaccharides (NSP) have an antinutritional factor. The aim of this research was to highlight effect partial soybean meal replacement with L. albus enzyme addition laying quail diets on productive performance, digestion, blood biochemical indices egg quality. A total 210 homogenous female Japanese quails (Coturnix japonica) at 24 week age were randomly assigned 6 dietary treatments, standard diet based unsupplemented (−) supplemented (+) (S−/S+) experimental which partially substituted by including lupine amount 200 g/kg 250 g/kg, enzymes (L20−/L20+; L25−/L25+).The use lupine-based allowed increasing proportion up 25% (% feed) without changing production, weight, feed conversion rate physical–chemical quality parameters eggs. In addition, (−/+) improved (p < 0.001) carotenoid yolk, as well yolk fats decreasing cholesterol level fatty acids (FA) atherogenic effect, favor omega-3 FA. Enzyme supplementation had negative health lipid (ratio hypocholesterolemic/Hypercholesterolemic FA—h/H, index—AI, thrombogenic index—TI promotion index—HPI). exogenous increased nutrients’ efficiency quails’ feed, is supported improvement metabolic decrease intestinal digesta viscosity feces moisture. conclusion, white can be used association specific affecting performance quality; moreover, has eggs, humans’ health.
